The beach house is located in the City of Encinitas which is in North San Diego County and between Carlsbad to the north and Del Mar to the south. Los Angeles International Airport is 95 miles to the north and San Diego Airport is 25 miles south. Del Mar Race Track is just a 15 minute drive, Sea World is 20 minutes, San Diego Zoo is 25 minutes, Legoland is 10 minutes and Disneyland is 45 minutes. There a dozens of golf courses in the area including Torry Pines where the U.S. Open is held annually and the famous La Costa Resort which is just minutes away.

The house is equipped with high speed wireless internet so that you are always in touch through the web. The phone number at the beach house is (760) 944 9998 so you can always be reached by phone. There is an answering machine so that you never miss a call.

Pets are not allowed. There are guests who are allergic to cats and dogs and could not tolerate staying in our beach house if pets were allowed. There is no smoking in the house. California in general strictly prohibits smoking in restaurants, bars and all public buildings.

Yes, Celestine, our housekeeper for the past 14 years, is available for everything from light housekeeping chores to a thorough weekly cleaning. Her rates vary depending on the services requested. Please inquire when making reservations and we will schedule according to your needs.

If you reserve our beach house more than 90 days in advance we require a deposit of $500 for each rental week. One half of all amounts due are required 60 days in advance and the remaining balance 30 days before your occupancy begins.

The city of Encinitas imposes an occupancy tax of 10% of the rental amount that we must collect. There is also a cleaning fee of $300 and fully refundable security deposit of $1,500.

One half of the total rent is due 60 days before occupancy begins and the remainder is due 30 days before occupancy. All amounts paid become nonrefundable. In the event that you must cancel we will make every effort to re-rent during your time period and if we are successful we will refund your rental deposit minus any costs that we incur.

We have a minimum stay of 7 nights during the summer months and during spring break, Thanksgiving week, Christmas and New Years and a 4 night minimum during the remainder of the year.

You may check in at 4:00 PM on your arrival date and you must check out before 10:00 AM on the date of you departure. Depending on the schedule early check in may be offered, please inquire when making reservations.

The beach house is located on a quiet residential street and the City of Encinitas when issuing a permit for short term vacation rentals allows a maximum of nine guests at our beach house, including children, for overnight stay. Parties, wedding receptions, events and other gatherings are prohibited.

We have refunded the security deposit within 24 to 48 hours after the end of occupancy in every instance when there is no damage to the beach house.

A maximum of 4 cars are allowed on the property: a garage with remote controlled doors holds three cars and another car is allowed in the driveway.

Yes, we provide kitchen towels, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bed linens, pillow cases and all blankets and comforters.

We have owned this beach house since it was newly built and our family including children and grandchildren have used it as our vacation home for 14 years. We still use it as our vacation home so it is fully equipped with everything you would expect a luxury home to have for your enjoyment.
There is a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer, an ironing board and iron, a large laundry room sink and laundry shut.
The kitchen has a large side by side refrigerator freezer, microwave/convection oven, four burner stove, large conventional oven, coffee maker, toaster, espresso machine, mixer, blender and every kind of kitchen utensil needed in a gourmet kitchen. A gas bbq is outside on the oceanfront patio. And hair dryers are in the bathrooms.
There are 4 high definition large screen LCD televisions with satellite providing hundreds of stations including HBO. Wireless high speed internet, telephone service, DVD player, and alarm clocks.

Laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, hand and body soaps, dishwasher detergent, paper products such as toilet paper, tissues and paper products to start off our stay. And wood for the fireplace.

We have 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, 3 long surfing boards, 2 boogie boards, ice chests, tennis rackets, dart board, variety of games, a library of books and beach towels. Bring your bathing suit.
